Please reply to this post if you will be providing a film at this week’s session.

If you don’t then have a film ready please let Brenda Wheatley know so that she can try to find someone else to fill the gap in the evening. If your film is ready early please bring it along on a top ten night and if there is time we will show it.

If you miss your given round you can bring your film along to a later one, but it will only be shown after those drawn for that round, if there is time.

Good luck to everyone who enters a film this year!

  1. Well, I don’t have anything new but I have an older film from last year which has slipped under the radar of everyone’s memories I could enter to make up the numbers.

  2. That will be fine Lee.
I think we may have a couple of other films so hopefully won’t have a blank night.

  3. So the first round is in the books and we kicked off this comp with five films!

The first film of the evening came from Bob Vine. Amazing man – he hasn’t been seen at a club meeting for a few years now yet STILL manages to enter a film into the Top 10! Puts everyone else to shame! 😛

Anyway his film “Eco” was a chilling tale of political arrogance and a warning to be careful for what you wish for as you might get it.

Up next was Bob Wyeth’s second part of his Switzerland trilogy as we follow him on a trip on the Glacier Express.

The third film was a genius piece of cinema entitled “Looking For Dave” by someone who shall remain nameless for fear he might get a big head! 😉

Jane Oliver’s “Colours Of the Caribbean” followed while the evening closed with Sam Brown’s “More Than Steam & Smoke” a film celebrating old fashioned steam trains.

Five isn’t a bad start to this year’s comp but let’s see if we can top that in the second round on July 17th.
