THE RESULTS

 

Here are the results of the 2022 OVFM Oscars, first announced during the Zoom event held on Tuesday March 22nd 2022.

 

The club competition films were voted for by club members whilst external judging for the Annual Competition was by Teign Film Makers Club,

Orpington Trophy (Best Film Runner Up) – End Of An Era by John & Ann Epton

Priory Trophy (Editing) – My Redeemer by Horace Chan

Rene Morris Penguin Plate (Photography)- Turdus by John & Ann Epton

Reg Lancaster Trophy (Funniest Film) – Cold Call by Lee Relph

Alice Howe Trophy (Documentary) – Flying An Icon by Mandy Carr

Free Spirit Trophy (No special category) – End Of An Era by John & Ann Epton

Vincent Pons Shield (Best Drama) – My Redeemer by Horace Chan

Jubilee Shield (Film under five minutes) – Puffing Billy by Jane Oliver

Rising Star Trophy (First Time Entry) – My Redeemer by Horace Chan

Most Creative – Stargazer’s Society by Mandy Carr

Vic Treen Cup (Film Set to Music) – Cappadocia Balloon Ride by David Roman-Halliday

Mike Turner Plate (Film Under 60 Seconds) – Mother Knows How by David Laker

  1. Thank you Lee for publishing this so quickly. It was good to see so many different filmmakers being rewarded for their efforts this year and shows the tenacity of our members even during the difficulties we’ve experienced over the past year or so, when filming wasn’t so easy due to the pandemic.

    I’d like to thank all those who took part and congratulate those who have come away with an award. Well done.
